7.1- IS Security
The threats to DCQ Pizza Parlor's Management Information System Security are viruses, outside intruders, accidents/natural disasters, employees/consultants, and links to outside businesses. Viruses can destroy data of important records of recently bought pizza and other products or documents within our company hard drives. Antiviral software such as AVG is recommended to protect our computers from harmful viruses. Natural disasters such as earthquakes or fires can physically endanger our hardware; so, backups are necessary to prevent permanent loss of data. Employees can interfere with transactions with our suppliers if they can access important files or even reduce the amount of time they work each day ; therefore, access-control software is used to limit employee access. Outside intruders can intercept important messages between our company and our partners and alter them completely; firewalls are needed to prevent them access. Links to our outside business contacts can allow people to access all our information with our partners if not protected. Using physical access restrictions can create keys and passwords so only important personnel can access those links.
